Angelina Jolie was recognized for efforts in combating sexual violence in war zones. The Oscar winning actress vowed to cut back on movie roles to pursue humanitarian work. When asked about made a dame, this is what she had to say:
“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.”
This week Angelina, joined by her children’s father Brad Pitt, also attended a summit with British foreign secretary, William Hague, to promote a international protocol for documentation and investigation of sexual violence.
