This is disgusting. The police can really get away with just about anything, even murder. In the last year alone Albuquerque police have killed 26 people and now a mentally disturbed homeless man named James Boyd is one of them. Find out the entire story after the jump.

James Boyd was camping out in the foothills above Albuquerque back in March because the city’s homeless shelters were closed. Being that he was at an illegal campsite, it wasn’t long til police arrived, at that time doing their job. Then, after five hours of negotiation and Boyd finally agreeing to leave the area, Albuquerque police took their jobs way too far.

Police claim their reasoning for opening fire was two small camping knives Boyd had in his possession at the time of the shooting. Meanwhile, the shooting didn’t take place until after Boyd had turned his back beginning to walk away.

Before busting shots, a police stun grenade went off and Boyd tried to flee for his safety. Three shots in his back prevented him from getting there. They didn’t stop at that though, police then sic a dog on Boyd’s legs and fire bean bags rounds at him.

While Boyd laid on the ground wheezing, desperately holding on to his life, police put cuffs on his wrist and arrested him. For camping at an illegal campsite. Boyd died the next day in a hospital bed.

The saddest part about this is that this is far from the first time something similar to this incident has occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
