As previously reported, a shooting where three were injured took place outside of Schoolboy Q and Nas’ show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver on Thursday night. Now, police are saying that it wasn’t a random act of violence and that it may have been targeted! Find out more after the jump!

“This is not just a coincidence. We think there is probably more to it than that,” said Jacki Kelley, a spokeswoman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. “It does seem to be more targeted than random.”

While no arrests have been made yet Kelley says investigators have received numerous tips and are currently trying to find a motive for the attack.

What makes it a little bit more questionable is that this isn’t the first strike at Q that has occurred in Denver. Apparently, in March someone in the audience of a sold out show at the Odgen Theatre threw something at Q while he was on stage. To which Q then jumped from the stage and into the crowd to confront him.

Could this be a retaliation? Or maybe just taking the first attempt much further the second time around? What do you think? Let us know!
