Wow! Extremely unfortunate news coming out of Missouri. On her way to her very own bachelorette party, Collette Moreno took a selfie with her friend since 7th grade, Ashley Theobald. Shortly after, they somehow managed to collide with an oncoming car on the crest of a hill. The outcome: the death of the bride-to-be. More info after the jump.

It happened this past Friday when 26-year-old Theobald — the driver, and Moreno, also 26, were on their way to celebrate Moreno’s upcoming marriage. 8 minutes before the crash, the pair took a picture in the car. That picture is located in the GALLERY.

Moreno’s mother, Kelly Arie, told Fox4KC, “It felt like a messed-up dream and I needed to wake up from it, and I just couldn’t believe it. I still can’t.”

Via NY Daily News:

Theobald told cops that the pair then got stuck behind a big truck. The fumes from the vehicle reportedly bothered Moreno, who suffered from asthma. She started coughing, so Theobald decided to try to pass the truck on a two-lane road.
The friend thought the coast was clear. But she reportedly didn’t realize they were coming onto a hill.
As she was trying to pass, a 1999 Dodge Ram was driving the other way. Both cars tried to swerve away, but the Ram struck the Malibu’s passenger side.
