With crowds of boats making their way back to shore after the 4th of July firework display, the congestion caused a terrible accident. At around 10:45 pm on Friday night one boat crashed into another which caused that boat to collide with a third vessel.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission Officer Jorge Pino 5 people were thrown into the water after the crash and as many as 12 were taken to local hospitals. Two victims were pronounced dead at the hospital Friday night and two more were found dead in the water Saturday morning.

One person is currently being hospitalized and was left in critical condition after the accident.

Hopefully alcohol had nothing to do with the cause of the crash. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission are currently investigating the tragedy and have yet to reveal the names or ages of any of the victims.
