After winning a Philadelphia-area sports award, LeSean McCoy wasn’t shy to offer praise for himself while speaking Wednesday.

McCoy first wondered aloud if he could win the John Wanamaker Athletic Award again if he rushes for 2,000 yards next season, setting a lofty goal one year after his 1,607 rushing yards gave him the Eagles single-season rushing record.

McCoy also repeated his stance that he’s the best running back in the NFL, and he’s apparently ready to back up that claim.

“I don’t want to keep saying it over and over,”McCoy said. “Now it’s time to prove it. I’ve said how I felt. I’ve said what my numbers show. Now it’s time to prove it.”
