Islamic Militant group, Boko Haram continues their reign of torture for the men, women and children of Nigeria. Back in April, the radicals kidnapped almost 300 schoolgirls from the town of Chibok. Those girls are still being held hostage.

June 18, Boko Haram went into the Borno state and kidnapped another group of women after setting fire to villages and killing 30 men. 63 of those women were able to escape the wrath of the group.

Bukar Kyari, a local vigilante fighting Boko Haram in Maiduguri, states that the women were able to escape when the army of men left the camp to fight non-allies and police in a nearby town.

“The women seized that rare opportunity to escape when they realized they were alone in the camp,” Kyari said. “But we still have five women, including a nursing mother, missing.”

This must stop!

Note: “Boko Haram” translates to “Western education is sin” in the local Hausa language.
