You may now kiss your stoner bride! Apparently over in Colorado where the green is legal, couples who are “marijuana enthusiasts” are taking their love of the ganji a little far. Find out more about these marijuana themed weddings after the jump!
When Lauren Meisels and Bradley Melshenker planned their wedding, they wanted to make sure it was of high class. The stoner love birds introduced a new age theme to their nuptials by showing their love for each other, along with their love of weed.
Guests who arrived at their wedding were greeted with a goodie bag filled with a rolled joint, a lighter and a lip balm infused with mango butter and cannabis, along with a note that read: “We wanted to show you some of the things we love best.”
That’s not all their guests got. Along with that, before dinner each person was given baby marijuana plants in a ceramic pot with their name and assigned table written on a card in green ink. At each table, which were all named after different strands of weed, attendees, who ranged from the ages of 40 to 70, passed around an electric cigarette filled with hash oil.
“It didn’t feel weird or bizarre,” Ellen Epstein, a guest at the wedding, said. “It kind of becomes a new cocktail.”
The pot loving bride carried a bouquet made up of a variety of white flowers with marijuana buds and leaves mixed inside. The groom and his men wore corsages that were made out of twine and marijuana buds and leaves.
