This upcoming season’s roster for the Los Angeles Lakers already has quite a cast of characters and now they’re making it even more interesting.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers worked out free agent forward Michael Beasley in El Segundo on Wednesday.  He also noted, source who saw Beasley’s workout said: “Looked very good and he has been working out … A tiny rust from layoff but did a good job”.

The Miami Heat gave Beasley a second chance last season but by the second half, coach Erik Spoelstra buried him on the bench and LeBron James was frustrated with his lack of focus.  The former No. 2 pick is talented but off the court issues and lack of focus have long plagued him throughout his career.

On the other hand, the Lakers can’t really lose by bringing him in on a minimum deal, as I said before he does have the athletic talent, it’s just getting him to show it.
