It’s not unlikely — with all of the child deaths from hot cars — that EMT workers would, without hesitation, break a window to save a small child in a car. And that’s just what first responders in Hoboken, NJ did after a 911 caller told them that a baby was in a hot car. Only this was no baby. Hit the jump for more info.

It was only once the damage was done that the rescue crew realized their mistake: the body inside was no baby, it was just Todd the doll, according to Daily Mail.

The doll belonged to Kitty Mieles’ 2-year-old granddaughter who left the baby doll sitting up in a seat.

For the mistake, Hoboken officials have agreed to pay for the woman’s car. Check out the scene in the GALLERY.
