Season 14 auditions of American Idol have started, and one Nashville hopeful wanted more than just a golden ticket to Hollywood, he wanted a dance with Jennifer Lopez. So, he just asked.
“Dance with you right now?” the pop beauty replies. “What kind of dancing? Because my heels are really high …”
After a little convincing, but Jennifer came from behind the judges table. The unnamed contestant tries to hold her hand at a distance as they dance. Guiding him, she says, “This is how you slow-dance,” putting her arm around his neck. “You’re trying to be a gentleman? No.”
With her fellow judges Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban providing music on a piano and guitar, the contestant serenades Jennifer serenades her with Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me”- as she lays her head on his shoulder.
“Oh, thank you,” Lopez says as the dance ends. “This is so sweet. “That’s the most fun I’ve had in months.”
And you guessed it, that same song won him a ticket to Hollywood.
