Justice is served for a second time involving the untimely death of young Darius Simmons (13), who was gunned down and murdered by his elderly neighbor, John Henry Spooner (76) in front of his mother. While the shooter Spooner was convicted to life in prison with no chance of parole last month, the family got some additional good news, when a judge ruled in their favor for civil suit against the killer. According to reports Milwaukee judge Kevin Martens ruled in the favor of parents Patricia Simmons, awarded $1.2M and father Darius Simmons Sr. who received $300K, which gave a total payout of $1.5M to the Simmons family.
