Yesterday the three-team trade sending Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers became official meaning No. 1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins is on his way to the Minnesota Timberwolves. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride for Wiggins who had been dealing with the trade rumors all summer. It appears however that everything worked out for the best as Wiggins prefers to play for a team he can work and build with. His former Kansas teammate Joel Embiid had some kind words for Wiggins to let him know it’ll all be alright.
Embiid compared Wiggins to Kobe Bryant who was traded from the Charlotte Bobcats to the Los Angeles Lakers right after they drafted him. It’s actually a comparison that Bryant himself made as well.
