Last night VMAs was full of surprises and stories to be discussed by the media for days to come. One of the biggest talked about moments at the VMAs was Nicki Minaj’s wardrobe malfunction during her performance with Ariana Grande and Jessie J. The Anaconda Rapper weighted in today on her almost nipple slip on stage.

Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Jessie J opened the VMAs last night, during the perfromance Nicki’s dress unzipped causing her to hold on to her dress for the rest of the performance!
Backstage, after the performance, Nicki Minaj yelled to reporters,
“You all know I had a wardrobe malfunction, we ran out of time getting the dress zipped up.”
The next day, the Young Money rapper, took to instagram to embrace the moment that didn’t happen saying,
“God is good. As long as a nipple didn’t come out to play, I’m fine. Love my team. CASPER, Rushka, Adam, Oscar, Joyce, Gee…Many more to name but they’re all winners! No weak links. There’s no greater feeling than having ppl who inspire u and who work passionately and relentlessly to get the job done.The myx is starting to make me feel real good right now. thank u to Slim, Richelle, Katina and the entire REPUBLIC team.”
This morning the VMAs Stage Manager, Gary Hood, called Ryan Seacrest and gave an inside look to what was going on.
Apparently Nicki’s dress was even malfunctioning during rehearsals.
Hood told Seacrest,
“I wasn’t immediately next to her, but we rehearsed that [song], obviously, in the dress. And actually the same thing happened in the dress. She didn’t quite make it. I mean, each of the performers had about two minutes…There just wasn’t enough time for her,”
And added,
“Like I said, when we rehearsed in the dress that afternoon, same thing, she came up clutching the top of her costume. So who knew? Anything could happen with her.”
