When the Arizona Cardinals were having quarterback issues Vince Young took to his Twitter account to lobby for the job, even hitting up Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Well unfortunately for the St. Louis Rams their starting quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a season-ending torn ACL and they’re left trying to fill the void. Garrard decided to go the Young route and recommend himself for the job on Twitter.
Garrard, the former fourth-round pick made 76 starts (39-37) in Jacksonville over nine seasons. The 36-year-old was let go by the Jaguars after the 2010 season and hasn’t played in a game since, and was last cut by the New York Jets.
It doesn’t look like Garrard will be getting that call from the Rams however and they seem pretty content with backup quarterback Shaun Hill.
