Earlier this year (during NYFW), Lil Kim mad the big announcement that she was with-child. Since then, the Queen Bee has given birth to a beautiful baby girl and well, although she misses her when she has to work, the upcoming Hardcore 2K14 must get finished.
During this year’s NYFW, Lil Kim gave a preview of the mixtape with a performance at NYC’s Up & Down. After the performance, i-D got a chance to talk to Lil Kim about being a new mother, what we can look forward to in Hardcore 2K14, what’s next and more.

Congratulations on becoming a new mother! What’s been the most rewarding part of parenthood thus far?
Just her, period! She’s the most beautiful baby ever. I love her, I miss her so much right now. Being away from her is the hardest, she’s the most beautiful thing. When she looks at me it’s just perfect! It’s love.What should we expect to hear on your forthcoming mixtape, HardCore 2K14?
Hopefully some good music! I just want for people to have an experience when they listen to my music. I can’t please everybody, so I just try to please my fans and make the music that makes me feel happy, too.What’s up next for you?
The rest of Fashion Week is going to be awesome and I have my new mixtape dropping on the 11th. But right now, we’re gonna go out and have some fucking fun!

I’m here to talk to the fans because I am a fan and just like a fan, I’ve been waiting for her to come back. People don’t realize as you change, you get wiser and begin to see things in a totally new light and perspective. Kim is a grown woman and when she’s ready she will come back.
