Murda Mook opens up to “No Edits” about the potential battle with the Toronto rapper.

It all started from an encounter in the club. Back in August, Murda Mook posted an intriguing picture on Instagram of him face-to-face with Drake with the caption: “So this is @champagnepapi telling me he wants to battle me. And he is actually serious! Who got the check?.”

From there, it sparked a lot of interest considering Drake doesn’t have a history of battle rapping, but according to Mook, the two might get in the ring very soon.

“We’re getting it together,” Mook said in a recent interview with “No Edits.” “He’s probably the top artist on the music, rap tip in the world right now. He’s got a lot of influence. So he’s got to be real careful in the sh– he say. That’s the reason why it really ain’t been too much going back-and-forth.”

So what’s the story behind that picture (above)? Drizzy approached the renowned battle rapper when he saw Mook in the club.

“He pulled me like, ‘Yo, if I battled a n—a, I’d probably have one of the best battles.’ I’m like, ‘Word?’ I tried to laugh it off and sh–. He kept insisting he would do that. Then he said he wanted to battle another rapper dude, because he didn’t like him — I’m not gonna say his name. Then he was like, ‘I didn’t really want to give a n—a that look. But you, I f–k with you.’”

No word on when this battle will actually happen, but Mook did reveal that he spoke with Drake three days ago.
