The Braves added another W to the book last night beating the Phillies 2-1. Despite having one of the starters out the guys did a great job on the field. James Russell (Wood’s Replacement) took charge for the night and started off the game. Last night was his first time starting since 2011!

Russell pitched four scoreless innings before handing off to Luis Avilan (4-1), who picked up the win with two shutout innings in relief. Craig Kimbrel notched his 47th save. Prior to the game the Fredi Gonzales was a bit restless. ‘I only got about four hours sleep because I was up trying to figure out how to use the bullpen,” Gonzalez said. ”They did a terrific job.”
