The 5th season of The Walking Dead hasn’t even premiered yet, and it has already been renewed for 6th season. AMC has announced that the zombie apocalypse drama will return with executive producer and showrunner Scott Gimple taking charge once again.

There’s plenty more Dead ahead thanks to their impressive, collective effort.”

And for those Walking Dead fans who are looking for a spin-off series, you’re in luck! The pilot is scheduled to shoot in late 2014 and will be set in a new location with new characters. The new series will take a look at the zombie apocalypse in other parts of the world.

Season 5 of The Walking Dead kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
