Governor Chris Christie is being slammed by Maine nurse, Kaci Hickox whom flew to West Africa to help with the Ebola outrage. Upon her return, Hickox was ordered to be quarantined was placed off in a plastic-sealed location.

All of my “basic human rights have been violated,” said Hickox and she blames every bit of it on the New Jersey governor.

The nurse has now been cleared by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is expected to be going back to her home state of Maine – with some mandatory rules to follow.

Gov. Paul LePage said in a statement Maine will work with Hickox “to establish an in-home quarantine protocol to ensure there is no direct contact with other Mainers until the period for potential infection has passed.”

Christie isn’t the only political official making West Africa entrants into his state partake in mandatory quarantines. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is taking the same steps also.

Cuomo elaborated on the New York position on Sunday, saying while the 21-day quarantine would remain mandatory for those coming in from Ebola regions after contact with infected persons, those who are symptom-free themselves will be taken to their homes, to wait out the quarantine period there. Health of those persons will be monitored by twice-a-day checks.

I have never once agreed with anything Christie has had to say, but this just seems right. It’s better to be safe than sorry for the safety of others.
