Kenneth Tate is trying to get his job back after he feels he was wrongly fired. Tate explained to CNN that he was only carrying out his assigned dutties which were to escort the President, and even members of the Secret Service. It was initially reported that Tate was fired for having his gun to close to the President in the elevator. Tate explained to CNN that the weapon was issued to him the morning of the Presidents arrival and was not told it was against Secret Service policy for him to carry a fire arm. Tates lawyer Christopher Chestnut added that Tate was fired unjustly for leaving his post to take pictures which was not the case. Tate stated he only took photos when the detail had been complete. He continues by saying that the Secret Service and his Managemant grew upset when they realized he had taken pictures but Tate had deleted them so he never understood the problem.
