ESPN has done the right thing and BANNED comedian Artie Lange after his sexual and racist “jokes” about First Take’s host Cari Champion.
Lange went way overboard on Twitter when he tweeted his sexual fantasy about Cari Champion. He described her as being his slave and envisioned himself as Thomas Jefferson.
ESPN initially called Lange’s tweets “reprehensible,” but now a spokesperson for the network tells TMZ they’ve flat out banned him. They said “there will be no future bookings” for the comedian.
Late Wednesday evening Lange tweeted an apology directly to Champion, but oddly added that he stood by the “joke” as a comedian and spewed his hatred for politically correct groups.
Lange was also cut from a Comedy Central gig because of the slavery tweets.
