You may not be constantly looking over your shoulders for the Po-Po because you’re caring a baggie of green but Mayor Bill de Blasio announced today what the NYPD will no longer be arresting for possession of small amounts of Marijuana.

Mayor Bill de Blasio and the police commissioner, Bill Bratton announced Monday, that no longer will people be arrested and charged for a misdemeanour but instead get a violation or summons.
The State law states it is a misdemeanor to have up to 25 grams of marijuana in public.
