Peter Siebold was the lone survivor of the Virgin Galactic crash that took place on October 31. His co pilot Michael Alsbury wasn’t so fortunate. Siebold interviewed with the US National Transportation Saftey Board (NTSB) to help the ongoing investigation.

Peter Siebold sat down with the the NTSB and explained how the crash had unfolded. The NTSB reported that Leibold “was extracted from the plane as a result of the break up sequence and unbuckled from his seat at some point before paracute deployed automatically”.Siebold stated that he was unaware the “feather system” had been unlocked early by the co pilot. The NTSB continued and suggested that the Preliminary investigation suggests that the ships “Folding wings” or wings designed to help the plane reduce speed were deployed too early causing major turbulence which caused the plane to break up with in free fall. Truly a miracle that Peter Seibold survived, he got another chance to see his children again which he definitely gives thanks for.
