To Whom It May Concern,
I’m a nursing student at Brookdale Community College and was wrongfully and unlawfully arrested. Recently, I have become a victim of Police Brutality; I’ve been subject to harassment, excessive force, I have been maced(pepper sprayed) twice, and choked out several times. In addition to never once being told that I was being arrested, I was never read my Miranda Rights. Not one of the six officers who tried detaining identified themselves or answered my questions. The main one being “WHAT LAW DID I BREAK?” I asked many questions, none of which were answered. The story has went viral; I’ve gotten 1.2 million views in four days. The story has been covered by the Asbury Park Press and was front page of the paper. Being an avid listener to your station, I’m in shock that your website hasn’t covered the story. You guys usually cover everything, so because it hasn’t reached your station, I’m writing this in hopes someone in your fine establishment will be able to put this story up. I’m not doing this in efforts to continue my 15 minutes of fame, but to raise awareness of civil rights. Not one person is better than any other person. Just because you have a gun doesn’t give you the right to look down upon others or the freedom to abuse the power given to you.
