A couple days ago a video went viral of Nick Young saying “nobody in the world can guard me” during the Los Angeles Lakers practice.  Well on Friday night he helped make his point.  Nick Young hits game-winning three to give the Lakers a 112-110 overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Nick Young was on fire from early, hitting five three-pointers in the first half.  The Lakers held a sizable lead over the Spurs and looked like they would capture an easy win before the Spurs fired back mostly on the heels of Cory Joseph and Manu Ginobli hitting a free throw to force overtime (Ginobli hit 1-2, 2-2 could’ve won the game).

Tim Duncan scored a go-ahead basket with 1:04 remaining in overtime before Nick Young came in and did his Swaggy P thing.

Here’s the play by play via Sports Illustrated:

With less than 15 seconds remaining in the extra period and San Antonio leading 110-109, Bryant drew three Spurs defenders as he worked near the free-throw line before he passed out of traffic to Jeremy Lin. Using one quick dribble to suck in the defense, Lin then passed the ball out to Young, who was waiting well outside the arc.

Given that the shot clock was running down under five seconds, Young had to act quickly by dribbling once before uncorking a deep, flailing three-pointer over Ginobili. The shot swished through with 7.4 seconds remaining, and Young celebrated by holding both of his hands over his eyes while extending three fingers on each hand.

And in the immortal words of Swaggy P:
