IFWT_Kerr Jordan game winner

When discussing superstars one factor people always bring up is if the player is “clutch”.  It’s one thing many Kobe Bryant fans held over LeBron James fans.  People want to see superstars take the final shot, to them it proves the player is great and works well under pressure.  Well Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr says those people are “idiots”.

Stephen Curry is killer in the clutch and everyone knows it.  In his young career, he’s broken several hearts by hitting a last second jumper with ease.  But on Sunday during the Warriors game against the New Orleans Pelicans when it came time to take the game-winning shot Curry had the ball in his hands and… passed it to Draymond Green. Who passed again to Klay Thompson for a better shot. Which he missed, but the point is there was ball movement and a designed play.  The Warriors later won the game in overtime but many people were wondering why didn’t Curry take that lost shot.

Steve Kerr is not only the Warriors coach, he also hit one of the most famous Finals shots because Michael Jordan passed out of a double-team.  He has a theory on why there’s so much demand for superstars to take the last shots: “It’s because people are idiots, that’s why. The point of the game is to get an open shot and if a guy’s double-teamed he should pass it. That’s the game.”
