President Barack Obama has revealed in a recent interview that he extends his support 100% towards the recent #BlackLivesMatter movement and athletes wearing ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirts.

President Obama thinks wearing ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirts in memory of Eric Garner is a good move! In fact, the President wish more athletes would get involved…

The President said basketball superstar LeBron James did the right thing when he wore an ‘I can’t breathe’ T-shirt – referring to the chokehold death of Mr Garner – on to the court.

He told People: ‘I think LeBron did the right thing. We forget the role that Muhammad Ali, Arthur Ashe and Bill Russell played in raising consciousness.

‘I’d like to see more athletes do that – not just around this issue, but around a range of issues.’

After comparing today’s athletes, who are supporting the movement, to historical sports players-civil rights activists, President Obama goes on to discuss how social issues were even worse in the past.

‘The small irritations or indignities that we experience are nothing compared to what a previous generation experienced,’ Obama said.

Glad to see the United States President supporting a meaningful movement, where some coaches and even the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, REFUSE to get on board…
