Everyone knew once Carmelo Anthony re-signed with the New York Knicks instead of the Chicago Bulls, it was a bad decision.  As the season progresses however and the Knicks continue with the worst start in franchise history while the Bulls are championship contenders, his decision looks even worse.  So does Anthony regret regret re-signing with Knicks?  Nope, or so he says.

“No, if I start doing that and saying what if to myself and second-guessing and questioning myself, it won’t be right,” Anthony said. “For me, mentally, it won’t be right, so I’ll not allow myself to sway toward asking myself what if with this situation or that situation.

“What’s done is done. I kind of don’t look at it, I kind of don’t think about it anymore. That’s in the past for me, just a situation that I had to deal with, that I went through this off-season. As far as now and thinking about that situation, it doesn’t even come close to me thinking about that.”

Anthony has 124 million reasons not to regret his decision and surely that money was a huge factor.  Also it was expected that the Knicks would be bad this year, well not THIS bad but still, Anthony knew the Knicks are rebuilding and won’t have cap space and a first round draft pick until next year.  Anthony has placed his faith in Phil Jackson to turn things around and he’s still in the early stages.  If there isn’t significant improvement next year however, then that regret will certainly kick in and he’ll probably be looking for a way out.
