Vh1s Sorority Sisters Controversy has been this weeks hot topics all over social media. The show is so notorious many of its advertisers have pulled out.Black twitter recently poured out many complaints they were outraged by the way Vh1s new show Sorority Sisters have portrayed black women again; 40,000-Black Greek petition to cancel the production of a reality show out of legitimate fears the show will mock, defame and scandalize Black Greeks’ proud tradition and esteemed history. Has Vh1 gone to far this time? I’m afraid so. and as a result many advertisers like Crayola, Carmex, Honda and more are pulling their ads from the program

A spokeswoman for Hallmark confirmed that the decision was made in response to public opposition to the show. The company, Linda Odell said in an e-mail, will not advertise during the show “because of consumer reaction to the program.”
Update: 3:50 p.m.: Several other advertisers including Honda, Crayola, and JBL, a subsidiary of Harman International, have also said they are pulling their ads from the show. State Farm has responded to inquiries saying that they do not air commercials during Sorority Sisters.
The general reaction to the show was that the tacky and petty fighting between the women on the show was a poor representation of the organizations they are representing; Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta and Sigma Gamma Rhy.
