James “JT” Thompson, is a one time producer of the BET Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame awards. James Thompson has announced plans for a new hall and museum in New York City. Hip-Hop Museum And Hall Of Fame Opening In Harlem ! The Hall of Fame is going to be located right in New York, The Birthplace of Hip Hop on Harlem on 125th St . The Hip-Hop Museum And Hall Of Fame Opening In Harlem would be the first of its kind honoring the culture, reported by the New York Daily News.

According to Miller, he and the organizing committee have been able to raise over $50 million toward the Hip-Hop Museum And Hall Of Fame Project, and have been able to lock in the participation of artists like Ice Cube, Eminem, Run-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, Common, Snoop Dogg ,Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and Outkast. The Hip-Hop Museum And Hall Of Fame Opening In Harlem will also be able to provide 90 minute tours and interactive exhibits.
