Metta World Peace last played with the New York Knicks in the NBA.  After battling injury and issues with former Knicks coach Mike Woodson, MWP signed a lucrative deal with Sichuan of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).  He’s ready to come back however and says he’s finally 100%.

According to RealGM, World Peace has averaged 19.6 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 42 percent from the field over 13 games for Sichuan and has received scheduled treatment on his knee to improve its fitness.

World Peace took to his Twitter account to announce one more month before he gets ready for NBA action.

When asked which team he would play for, he wasn’t sure but was certain he will be back in the league.

Metta World Peace is currently 35 years old and with 17 seasons in the NBA, he’s played with the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and lastly the New York Knicks.

In 2004, World Peace won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and was also named an NBA All-Star and earned All-NBA honors with the Indiana Pacers.  He won an NBA championship in 2010 as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
