tyga-announces-the-gold-album-release-date-500x500

It’s been a long, long journey up until this point, but it appears that Tyga’s The Gold Album will finally be seeing the light of day soon! After tons of push-backs throughout 2014, Tyga shocked the world with a rant earlier this fall, stating that the cause was simply his label and their lack of support, and revealing that he is no longer happy on YMCMB. He later elaborated in an interview with VIBE Magazine, expressing his desires to get off of the label and his plans to do so. However, Birdman later told our own Funk Flex that Tyga’s contract was staying put.

Shortly after Birdman spoke to Flex, Tyga revealed a release date of December 23 for The Gold Album, which seemed to indirectly tell us that his label issues had been resolved.

Just when you thought the beef had cooled down, things got even crazier. As Lil Wayne took to Twitter to reveal his very similar issues with Cash Money a few weeks later, Tyga eventually jumped in to praise Weezy, and reveal that The Gold Album would now be dropping independently some time in 2015.

He’s now announced a new date of January 27, and you can pre-order here.
