Marriage isn’t for everyone and apparently according to comedian Chris Rock, it just wasn’t his thing anymore, either. Rock recently filed for divorce from his wife of 19 years, Malaak Compton-Rock. According to sources, Rock just wasn’t feeling the love anymore and was, “tired of being married” to his woman. I mean hey, it happens, but it is just SO ironic that Chris Rock always puts out movies about being miserable while being married and now it is his actual life.
Sources are also revealing that Malaak is refusing to let Chris see their two daughters they have together, 12-year-old Lola Simone and 10-year-old Zahra Savannah. He is outraged but is still trying to keep the peace. Since there is no third party involved, the divorce should go rather smooth but Chris is planning on fighting for complete split legal and physical custody. Let’s hope the two can part ways peacefully and leave the drama out of it for the kids! (Sidebar: is anyone NOT getting divorced?! Sheesh.)
