Revlon CEO Snaps in Racist Lawsuit, #ShadesofRevlon Hashtag is Born as former Revlon scientist Alan Myers (who’s Jewish and American) has filed a case, saying he’d been unjustly fired after bringing up safety concerns that the CEO Lorenzo Delpani told him to stay quiet about. Soon after it’s reported that the CEO allegedly went into a tirade on Meyers in front of mostly Italian and Spanish employees, making flaming racist remarks.
“Meyers’ claims he said that all ‘Jews stick together,’ he ‘could smell a black person when he entered the room,’ that he hates living with Americans, who are ‘small-minded’ and ‘dirty’ and ‘can’t wait to get back to a real country.'”

The brand has been using Halle Berry as its main advertising spokeswoman. Meanwhile in the Twitter-verse…no scandal’s complete without it’s own hashtag, enter #ShadesofRevlon. Taking a spin off the company’s recent campaign which Delpani spearheaded himself:
“I broke up ‘Revlon’ and found, inside ‘Revlon,’ is scrambled the word ‘love.’ Inside the heart of Revlon is ‘love.’ The brand talked to me; the brand said; Look, love. From now on, we intend to be on a mission, inspiring all the shades of love.”
