Kicks In Court for Bail

Judge Accepts New Nike Sneakers As Bail Payment as Jason Duval from Framingham, Massachusetts has successfully avoided jail for numerous charges by getting ‘creative.’

Many have been commenting on the ‘spiritual decline’ of sneaker culture though this story puts a twist on things. With the chaos we’ve come expect during say, the release of any Michael Jordan Signature sneakers, comes a story that may (or may not) give a legal stamp of approval to the value of kicks as Judge Accepts New Nike Sneakers As Bail Payment.

Jason Duval, age 39 was brought in on a warrant for previous drug possession and driving to endanger charges when he explained to the judge that due to his rough and currently ongoing divorce he didn’t have any money to pay the court. It’s reported that the charges were to be dropped pending a payment of $450 which Jason had not cleared. The Judge Accepts New Nike Sneakers As Bail Payment after allegedly giving the option for Jason to “get creative” unless he wanted to serve the jail time as retribution.

“I’ll give you a chance to be creative. If you can come up with a creative idea to convince me that you’ll come back, I’ll work with you,” said Judge John Stoddart in court.”

Judge Accepts New Nike Sneakers As Bail Payment as Jason then offered his crisp new pair of Nikes which were a recent Christmas gift, though his pair retailed at $85. The judge permits him to get the sneakers back pending a $100 payment going forward. (Message!)–Just an observation that Jason is an adult white male with (drug related!) priors who was given the “chance” to be creative (with $85 on $450) in order to avoid jail AND payment options…#CrimingWhileWhite anyone???

…This story also follows multiple stories of death, assault and robberies surrounding the recent release of the Legend Blue Air Jordan 11 sneakers. Check the vid for more details on Nike Air Jordan frenzy.
