A woman named Charlotte Wonjah, 26, was recently arrested for beating her son and killing their family dog in front of her own children. Wonjah is being charged with animal cruelty and aggravated child abuse. Cops reported that Wonjah attacked her 8 year old son with a rope and she slammed the family dog to death while her children watched in horror. The Florida woman told the cops that she has anger management issues and she has been arrested numerous times for beating her son.
Wonjah showed up in court in Miami where Judge George Sarduy set her bail at $5,000 on the animal cruelty charge and he ordered her to appear again in court on a charge of aggravated child abuse. WTVJ-TV reported that police officers were also investigating a domestic violence case on Wonjah when they saw that her 8-year-old son had welts and bruises on him. Wonjah stated that she “lost control of her temper” and began attacking her son. Authorities say that his wounds were in the process of healing. She also acknowledged killing the family’s 1-month-old puppy by slamming it on the floor in front of her kids because she no longer wanted to take care of it, police said.
