Veggie Burgers at White Castle

White Castle Officially Adds Veggie Burger To Their Menu, for a 99 cent limited time meal option that’s completely meat-free and comes with new sauces.

Now available in 400 of their nationwide chains, White Castle Officially Adds Veggie Burger To Their Menu. In providing a meat-free alternative which customers had allegedly been clamoring for, the fast food restaurant serves up Dr. Praeger’s, a vegetarian brand known in many grocery circles for it’s patty made of carrot, zucchini, peas, broccoli, spinach and more.

White Castle Officially Adds Veggie Burger To Their Menu and customers get to pick from 3 different sauces, including avocado ranch, honey mustard or sweet Thai. The official debut came in most stores between December 30th and January 1st, after months of testing since the summertime. For those of you feeling like it’s a takeover, maybe you “should” be scared:

“White Castle is hardly the first fast food establishment to introduce a veggie-friendly option to its customers. This year, Chipotle impressed omnivores with Sofritas, burritos stuffed with a mixture of chipotle-braised tofu and veggies. A Morning Star veggie burger has had a place on Burger King’s menu for the last couple of years. The prevalence of veggie options popping up on fast food menus mirrors the rise of the vegetarian population”

But seriously, if you’re freaking out, relax. Keep a perspective that we live in a meat-dominated society–and that will not change drastically for a long time if ever. Just think of this as a great way to spend more quality time grabbing munchies with your vegetarian friend. Now, they can get more than just fries and onion rings -__-
