Wait, what??? Hindu Father and Son Turned Away from “Muslim-Free” Gun Range in Arkansas this week stating they are South Asian and “just brown.”
Jan Morgan is owner of the Gun Cave Indoor Shooting Range in Arkansas, which after announcing the blatantly discriminating “Muslim-free zone” rule for her business in October, is now making headlines for the Hindu Father and Son Turned Away from “Muslim-Free” Gun Range.
The Hindu Father and Son Turned Away from “Muslim-Free” Gun Range who have preferred to remain anonymous for safety reasons, reportedly walked into the business and were filling out membership applications when they were promptly asked to leave. The father and son have reportedly commented that they are “not Muslim, just brown.” (I can’t).
Jan defended her prejudice choice of doing business by stating she will not “rent or sell a gun and hand ammunition to someone who aligns himself with a religion that commands him to kill me.” She calls the whole situation a set-up and the discrimination allegations “reckless.” She claims “strange beahvior” which may or may not have been substance induced was the reason she had them escorted. The Hindu Father and Son Turned Away from “Muslim-Free” Gun Range recall the scene like this though:
“My dad and I, we like to shoot guns sometimes.” He says he and his father, both of Indian descent, were turned away from the Muslim-free zone. He explained, “She just said ‘you know, I don’t think you guys belong here’.” He says when he and his dad walked into the range, they were immediately asked where they were from. The pair are from Hot Springs. They say the owner pressed the issue. “She mentions that this is a Muslim-free gun range and if you are then please leave.” He says they told her they’re Hindu but were still not allowed.
Mmm…Hindu Father and Son Turned Away from “Muslim-Free” Gun Range and even though the Council for American-Islamic Relations challenged Jan Morgan legally in court, the business remains “Muslim-Free.” She recently took to Facebook to post a picture of other “brown” and “Asian” appearing people who have frequented the range, *rolling my eyes* saying, “we don’t discriminate against people based on their skin color.” Riiiiiight…just their overall look on the “Muslim–or nah?” meter.
More evidence to bury your “it’s 2015” or “post-racial era” theories and increasing ammo for what’s been a very anti-Islam atmosphere in media and society. In separate Twitter-verse news it’s reported that 16 mosques in France were attacked over two days during this Charlie Hebdo mourning period–with no press coverage so far.
