With marriage, court dates (for assault) and the start of his new Contra-Paris Label, Grammy award-winning producer The Dream has had a jam-packed year. Now, the artist is making music his priority after announcing that his plan is to drop not one, but two EPs in 2015. Dream grabs Tricky Stewart for his Crown EP, which is scheduled for release on March 31st, and following tow will be the EP, Jewel.

The “I Luv Your Girl” crooner expresses to VIBE what to expect out of the both projects.

“Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before,” he says. If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I’m not limited by any box I’ve been put in—every year I’m expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot.”
