Claudia Jordan From RHOA Disses Dark Skin People? I guess a Housewife isn’t a housewife unless there is some sort of controversy. Well at least that is the case for ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’cast. New member Claudia Jordan is just following the rules. The new house wife is another housewife without a husband( Kenya Moore doesn’t have a husband either) and she is stirring the pot and creating conflict already. She dished in her first episode about being biracial and how it is/was difficult for her. Her mother is Italian and she never quite fit in with either side. She never was “black enough” and “black girls didn’t like her because of the whole dark skinned light skinned thing” However She is in the news for allegedly dissing dark skinned people. Is the a case of the pot calling the kettle black? Were her comments really hurtful or was it just an innocent joke? Let me know in the comments. Find out what she said below

“In the clip she says she can only see “the beige people” at the all black party and starts naming a bunch of fair-skinned people. She says “Everybody else, I can only see teeth and eyes.”Colorism is a huge issue in the world and especially in black communities. It can be traced all the way back to slavery. Many African and Caribbean countries spend a lot of dollars on skin bleaching products. Viola Davis was told recently that she wasn’t a classic beauty by the New York Times because of her dark skin. Oprah created a special in 2013 dedicated to ‘Dark Girls’
“Dark Girls” is a fascinating and controversial documentary film that goes underneath the surface to explore the prejudices that dark-skinned women face throughout the world. It explores the roots of classism, racism and the lack of self-esteem within a segment of cultures that span from America to the most remote corners of the globe. Oprah is also doing a Special that tells the other side of the story called “Light Girls” The documentary, will look at how lighter-skinned women are impacted by the rigors of colorism.

Not sure if she is using her comedian skills, are not. As a sista of light complexion, the same way people can be mean to dark sista, they can be mean to us too. I’ve been targeted by my people, because they believe my life is easier because of my light skin. The matter is we catch it both ways, we face racism from white people as well as being persecuted by darker skin blacks. I think she still suffering from the childhood trauma, as well as dark skin sista. We need to stop and remember,we are all victims of a system who used divide and conquer. None of us win from this ignorance.
Sorry, I see it’s an old thread but it made me sad that because Claudia has a lot of italian/white skinned features she is treated so badly by her own ppl.
We already know that Claudia herself growing up was teased and humiliated and not accepted as a little black girl. Inspite of her obstacles she has accomplished a lot and in this decade we already know that Claudia is a so to speak “slick talker”, I don’t believe for one second that she was trying to down her own people.
Claudia suffers a little bit too much from keeping it real with what her humoristic side is “Which is quite misunderstood”.
I believe it was a statement that stemmed from the realness and honesty of the the actual “Dress Code” itself and the fact that it was night time.
I do believe in Claudia mind she is totally in acceptance that she is a “Black Woman” and in her humor and by the fact that she’s from up north she often misses “That email that her very own do not accept her as a Black woman”.
In doing so she rubs the catty, envious and immature woman and men the wrong way but her heart is in the right place, she’s down to earth but too often “misread”. Compound that with the fact that due to a very tragic experience as rape and how she’s been portrayed as easy, for the ppl that don’t really know her she just rubs them the wrong way…and that’s sad.
