The former NBA star, who now plays overseas with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, was able to strike a deal with prosecutors & settle for probation!
That illegal fireworks arrest almost cost Gilbert Arenas bigtime. Arenas, who placed on probation for his 2010 gun incident with the Wizards, has been placed back on probation after being arrested with illegal fireworks according to TMZ.
Arenas was charged with misdemeanor fireworks possession and was facing jail time, but ultimately cut a deal with prosecutors to get probation instead.
According to official docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Arenas pled no contest and in exchange was hit with $41,240 in fines, penalties and other fees.
