Fresh off the NFC Championship win it’s understandable anyone in Seattle’s camp is feeling hype…but this one most say crossed the line. Internet backlash hit (even after) the swift take-back from a Seattle Seahawks FAIL at Twitter Tribute to MLK (SMH)!

The Twitter-verse erupted today when an unfortunate choice of a photo-quote-and caption combination went out from the NFC Champion’s digital headquarters. The Seattle Seahawks FAIL at Twitter Tribute to MLK after superimposing a picture of Russell Wilson’s emotional breakdown with a Martin Luther King Jr. quote and caption: “We Shall Overcome.”

Seattle Seahawks FAIL at Twitter Tribute to MLK and are now feeling the embarrassment of an otherwise careless mistake.

“Yes, because the Packers and the institutional march of racism which swept over our land for an embarrassing amount of time are exactly the same thing.”

In short to sum up the Seattle Seahawks FAIL at Twitter Tribute to MLK. A great group of guys, NFC Champions, and triumphant victors over of a lot of odds, YES. But common sense fueled, socially conscious or even aware judgment and tasteful display of humility on this one? “Y’all must’ve forgot!” –FAIL. But, really, was it that bad??? Do you think the net’s been too harsh on something companies in business do all the time, or was this truly beyond the call of duty and deserved to be called out???
