Shanice Clark, a senior at California University of Pennsylvania, was found in her apartment around 3 a.m. Sunday and pronounced dead an hour later.

Though they believe she choked on gum in her sleep, blood tests and an autopsy are pending and the death is still being investigated.

Clark, 21, was a 6-foot forward on the school’s Vulcans basketball team.  She was from Toronto, Canada.
