Inquiring minds have always wanted to know.., and it looks like we may have an answer. Huh…..Kanye says he doesn’t smile because of what?? Peep Kanye’s classic response as to the reasoning behind his infamous scowl inside.
Of course only Yeezy would have some premeditated rationale behind why he’s constantly rocking an upside down smile. Ye actually broke it down in a room full of his peers earlier this week, at The Daily Front Row’s Inaugural Fashion Los Angeles Fashion Awards, while presenting an awards to Milk Studios founder, Mazdack Rassi. Well, according to Ye its not cool to smile in flicks. Of course its not.

“His refusal to smile for the camera is all thanks to a history book he found in a Parisian flea market.He says he was inspired by the images of the 1800s realism art movement….the the stars of the 80’s who looked “cool” not cracking a smile in their vintage pics.
‘Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything. I looked at all these people’s photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, “Why you not smiling?” and I think, not smiling makes me smile.'”
Well there we have it folks. I have a feeling wifey Kim knows just what to do to put a smile on ole Yeezy’s face… as well as that adorable little daughter of theirs.
