Republicans Call Beyonce "Mental Poison"

Could the “Queen Bey” be a debate topic in the next presidential elections??? Seems like more and more politicians can’t keep her name out of their mouths and now Iowa Republicans Think Beyonce is “Mental Poison” after the claim was made by Republican and former GOP candidate Mike Huckabee.

Iowa Republicans Think Beyonce is “Mental Poison” following statements made by Mike Huckabee–who was not only a former GOP candidate but also a former correspondent on FOX News–in his latest book God, Guns, Grits and Gravy. Yes…that’s seriously the title!!!

Apparently Iowa Republicans Think Beyonce is “Mental Poison” according to the results of a few national polls which questioned both the major political parties on whether Huckabee was right or went too far:

“When asked if they thought Huckabee was mostly right or went too far, 40 percent of Republicans likely to attend the Iowa caucus said he was mostly right, while 38 percent he went too far, and 22 percent said they weren’t sure. Meanwhile Democrats were much more supportive of Queen Bey, with 81 percent saying Huckabee went too far, 6 percent saying he was mostly right, and 13 percent who weren’t sure.”

Iowa Republicans Think Beyonce is “Mental Poison” however do feel Huckabee went too far when he called out POTUS Obama and FLOTUS Michelle for letting their daughters listen to Yonce (61% of Republicans said he went too far on that one). In a recent interview with the legendary John Stewart for The Daily Show, John put the validity and* ridiculousness of it all into perspective (leave it to Comedy Central to be the voice of reason SMH).

Among Huckabee’s beefs is that the the one ‘Flawless’ is “talented enough to do anything” and looked up to by many yet is selling herself as a sex object. John Stewart in contrast highlighted footage of Huckabee (who also plays bass) performing with artists whose lyrics objectify women and sex…so do two wrongs make a right here or is it apples and oranges???

What do you think…does Huckabee have any points, is she really “mental poison,” are people just looking to capitalize off her name and popularity, or is this just plain going too far??? To be fair, you can also choose the “I’m not sure” option…

Check the vid for that one on one and judge for yourself!
