Russell Westbrook is known just as much for his fashion choices as his skills on the court, and he goes hard with both. You can’t tell him nothing about his style and he owns it whether you like it or not. He got himself some credit in the fashion world now by linking up to join True Religion, not just for a photoshoot or anything like that, but by actually working for the company. He is very serious about this.

News broke this morning that Westbrook, who has collaborated on a clothing and accessories line for Barneys New York, is now serving as the campaign creative director at True Religion. Luckily for Westbrook, his new duties as a denim spokesperson will perfectly align with his NBA responsibilities during New York fashion week this season. In between playing in the NBA All-Star game at Barclays Center on February 15 (the same time as the Opening Ceremony show), Westbrook will pop by the True Religion store (conveniently located across the street from Barclays) on February 14 and star in a TV spot that will air during broadcasts of All-Star events and at Madison Square Garden. Will he still be at NYFW shows? You can almost bet on it—how else will be promote his new collection of All-Star Game-branded eyewear?
