Beyonce

During last night’s Grammy Awards, there was almost a repeat of the 2009 show after Beyonce took a huge L. Although we’re not quite sure how, Beck took home the award for “Album of the Year,” leaving the BeyHive in utter disbelief. As expected, diehard Bey fans took to Twitter and other various social media sites to sound off. They even took it as far as creating a new hashtag #WhoIsBeck? But wait, it gets better!

Queen Bey fanatics hacked Beck’s WIKIPEDIA page by writing, “Beck is a stealer. thief from hell most commonly known as stealing the Best Album of the Year awards from Beyonce at the 2015 Grammy Awards, also known from the trending twitter topic who is beck.” It was shortly changed back but not quick enough for us to not grab a screen shot of the madness.

To add to the craziness of Bey’s disappointing loss, a petition was filed on the popular petitioning site Change.org by avid Beyonce advocates. Their petition states:

An unspeakable act of corrupt and senseless terrorism was committed at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards when BEYONCÉ—the 5th and most innovative album from megastar and possible angel Beyoncé—was not given the Album of the Year Award, and, instead, it was granted to an album no one even knows the name of by Beck (also not sure who this is). The world would like to see action taken, whether it be stripping Beck of the award and giving it to Beyoncé, or for the Grammy Awards and the Academy to be obliterated completely. Something must be done after this terrible atrocity.

Do you think Beyonce deserved to take home the Grammy for “Album of the Year” over Beck? (I honestly can’t even name any songs from Beck, so I’m sure you already can imagine where I stand on this issue).
