Karl Malone is from the old school where offers to fight don’t die and he hasn’t forgotten his beef with Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

The NBA legend and Hall of Famer sat down with Huffington Post and discussed a variety of things when Kobe Bryant came up.  Back in 2004 when Karl Malone (and Gary Payton) came to the Shaq/Kobe Lakers to go ring hunting, Kobe and Malone had a little beef. Allegedly it was over Malone hitting on Kobe’s wife. When it was brought up here is what Malone said:

We had a little issue,” Malone told host Marc Lamont Hill. “Are we cool?  I don’t hold grudges … If Kobe doesn’t like me today, that’s Kobe Bryant’s fault. It ain’t mine, it’s his problem. I don’t have a beef with nobody…. I dont’ feel no tension, but I’m a hunter, so I’m right there anyway.  I’m old-school Western. Back in the day, when you had a beef, you didn’t go get guns and knives … we just go back in the back with no cameras and knuckle up. Get it over with.”

Hill pressed Malone if he offered Bryant that route to resolution.

“It’s a standing offer,” Malone said. “Look, I don’t want no trouble. I don’t have a problem. People say whatever they want to say and that’s great. I’m 6-9, 272 [pounds] to be exact. I’m not hard to find. I don’t want no trouble. But if something got to go down, I’m not playing fair.”

Clearly Karl Malone would break Kobe Bryant in two so if I were Kobe I wouldn’t take him up on that offer.
