Jon Stewart is exiting and she takes herself out of the running stating “I’m not hosting. Thank you but I am extremely under-qualified for the job!” This is a Tragedy! She is a young African American woman in the free world who is afraid to take the leadership role. I may get in trouble for saying this but, BLACK PEOPLE,YOUNG PEOPLE, ALL PEOPLE YOU HAVE THE POWER.YOU MUST TAKE THE LEADERSHIP ROLE! Williams was hired as the show’s very first African American female correspondent, in 2012, and is still very much a regular.She has already created history just being apart. I think we must re-work this whole system of going to ‘college”getting an “internship”. It sounds good but why do so many people feel under-qualified? My theory is because there is a lack of leadership. If you look online there are so many jobs listed as “internship” what they really want to say is can you be my slave and work for free. These organizations have no intention of really cultivating and developing people and as a result you have people with 101 empty internships. I can’t believe she worked under Jon Stewart since 2012 and isn’t ready to go that is just sad. I’m sure it hasn’t all been roses. We all are aware of the initiation process you have to go through as a new person. I’m sure she experienced people withholding information and the whole nine yards but that has nothing to do with her trying. What are your thoughts? Do you think She being honest with herself or cowardly?
